The Turkish embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, has announced the removal of the visa requirement for Indonesian nationals traveling to Turkey for tourism and transit purposes.
This means that all people with an ordinary Indonesian passport will have visa-free entry to Turkey. Moreover, they will be able to stay in the country for up to 30 days.
"We believe that this cordial step taken by Turkey will boost the existing brotherly ties between our countries, and will help promote people-to-people contacts and business ties," declared the Turkish embassy in Jakarta in the announcement of the new privilege.
The decision formally appears in Turkish Presidential Decree No. 4930 issued on 22 December 2021 in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Turkey, and it is in effect since 24 December 2021.
